FUTURE EVENTS IN OUR PARISH:
Dec 1 Vestry Meeting, CTK Parish House, 9:30
Dec 5 the second Sunday of Advent, we will host an “
Advent Concert” at Christ the King at 4:00 PM.
It is time to think about our intentions for support of our church’s budget for 2022. Letters are being sent out this week to invite you to give this commitment prayerful consideration. Your intention cards can be returned at any time either by sending it back to the office via USPS or simply putting it the offering plate at worship. Thank you for your commitment to our church.
UNITED THANK OFFERING:
The fall gathering of this offering is underway and will be collected through this month. Envelopes for cash offerings can be found at the back of the church, or you can write a check and designate it for UTO.
This offering is distributed to support mission and ministry throughout the Episcopal Church and in the provinces of the Anglican Communion in the developing world.
CAP PANTRY REQUEST UPDATE:
Holiday dinner items are at the top of their list along with soups and crackers. Shampoo and toothpaste are in short supply. As always, whatever you can donate is appreciated and shared. Please bring a non-perishable food item when you attend the organ recital on December 5. Thank you!
ECONO FOOD RECEIPTS AND TURKEY BUCKS:
Econo Foods has been purchased by another company. In light of this information, the church will be turning in the collected receipts at the end of this month. Please turn in your receipts as soon as possible. And, we will start collecting TURKEY BUCKS for Lakeshore CAP clients, so those are welcome too. Thank you!
OUTREACH COMMITTEE-TOYS FOR KIDS;
Again this year we would like to support the Door County Toys for Kids Program, which distributes toys for local children in need. We ask that you consider a cash donation for this project. Contribution checks can be made to CTK-HN with the annotation, Toys For Kids 2021, and sent to: CTK-HN Episcopal Church P.O. Box 828 Sturgeon Bay WI 54235, by December 6, 2021.
We continue to follow the CDC guidelines and practice universal masking for an indoor setting. We will also continue the protocol from before with no singing, and no wine for the Eucharist. We must continue to be vigilant.
