FUND ESTABLISHED FOR ACCESSIBILITY IMPROVEMENTS AT CHRIST THE KING:

Your vestry is making serious progress to provide accessible facilities at Christ the King. Once we approve the final design and Keller Builders provides a firm cost estimate, fund-raising will begin in earnest.

In the meantime, Treasurer Katie LaViolette has set up a separate account for any incidental costs the church may incur before a construction contract is (hopefully) signed.  Please designate any contributions for that purpose to the CTK Accessibility Project. Thank you!

ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING CTK ORGAN REPAIRS:

The Wick Organ Builders informed the congregation that the cost to repair the organ at CTK to its original greatness would be $2,400. The organ was built in 1968.

An anonymous donor has come forward to pledge to a “matching fund” campaign. Any contribution (large or small) given to repair the organ will be matched by the donor, dollar for dollar, up to $1,000.

With these funds, and with a music fund which is available to the congregation, there will be sufficient funds to finish the organ repairs, and leave some extra to help with costs for the Advent Concert and for the Concert to dedicate the organ to be scheduled in the future.

If you would like to contribute, please send your contribution to the church office, clearly marked for the organ fund. Thanks to this generous donor and for all who contribute to restoring this instrument. You will be informed every week as to the progress of this funding.

Contributions to date for the organ repair at CTK: $350.00

CAP PANTRY UPDATE AND REQUESTS:

Using his discretionary funds, last week Fr. Olin shopped for the pantry, buying items for large families plus some personal care items (toothpaste, razors and shaving cream). Thank you Fr. Olin and to you all for your donations to the vicar’s discretionary fund!

Personal care items still in short supply are toothbrushes, shampoo and bar soap. Helpers for tuna, chicken and hamburger help stretch those proteins. Any rice, bagged or boxed, is in short supply and there is a need for tomato, chicken noodle or rice soups. Please know that our outreach to the pantry makes a difference! Thank you.
